12 days the ultimate of Tanzania and Zanzibar

(ARUSHA, TARANGIRE, MANYARA, SERENGETI, NGORONGORO & ZANZIBAR)

DAY 1 - Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport from Europe and if necessary (depending on the flight) an overnight stay in Arusha. With a late flight from KLM  , this becomes Usariver. We are going for MidRange in this example the MERU VIEW LODGE.  SemiLux this is KILI VILLA LODGE. The more luxurious  SIRINGIT VILLA was also rated as extremely good by our customers (and ourselves).

We personally take care of the transfer ... it is about a 40 km drive.

With earlier flights there is practically a lot more choice of hotels to arrange. Like MR

the KAHAWA  HOUSE, SL the MOUNT MERU HOTEL or L the ELEWANA COFFEE LODGE

DAY 2- After breakfast we meet our Safari guide and the 4x4 (Toyota Land-cruiser) and you receive a briefing of the trip.

Your adventure starts right away with a game walk (a walking safari) in Arusha NP. Towering Mount Meru is Tanzania's second highest peak and forms the majestic backdrop to this national park. In clear weather you can also see Mount Kilimanjaro here, although it is often rather foggy due to the higher location. Together with an armed ranger we take a walk along a fresh stream with a waterfall and remarkable (rather harmless) animals, including the unique white and black colobus monkey, a unique albino baboon that lives here and larger animals such as giraffes, elephants, zebras, hippos, buffalo, dik dik and various antelopes.

And not to forget the many flamingos at the lakes of Momella.

Then we leave for Tarangire NP which is about 3 hours drive (160 km paved road), to arrive at nightfall at our lodge (with a view of Lake Burunge).

SIMBA LODGE (MR) his delicious dinner will be served to you and the blissful king-size beds are already waiting for you.

For more SL this is  AFRICAN VIEW CAMP  and even  more L these are the NASIKIA CAMPS.

DAY 3 - After breakfast we go on safari for the first time. Tarangire NP was recently voted the 3rd most beautiful park in Africa and is also our favorite. Particularly large numbers of elephant herds congregate here, as do many zebras. We have a picnic in the park and at nightfall we return to our lodge, tired but satisfied.

DAY 4 - Today we drive to lake Manyara.

Also this time the roads are good and after an hour and a half (100km) we arrive at the Northern gate. After our picnic lunch we leave this park again in the late afternoon. We go to Karatu where we spend the night in the Ngorongoro rainforest, and in

the TLOMA LODGE  be a guest. The dinner that is offered to you is rich and delicious, a nice end to the day before you can rest in your bungalow. For those who want something more, or much more luxury, there are still more in the NCCA the RHINO LODGE  (SL)  and the lovely  ANG'ATA CAMPS (L).

DAY 5 - After breakfast we leave Karatu  for the time being and drive another 70  km to enter the legendary Serengeti.

It is about 4 hours on good but unpaved roads until we reach the central Seronera  part.

We are located in the Seroneraarea in theTHORN TREE  CAMPS (MR) or SOUND OF SILENCE CAMP (SL).

SIRINGIT COLLECTION by MANTIS  is an even more luxury option.

After a hot shower and dinner, relax to the sounds of the savanna. However, it is usually very quiet here ..................

only the hyenas dare to wake you up, but they never stay around for long.

DAY 6 - This will be a full day in the beautiful central Serengeti. After breakfast we explore this vast area in one of Africa's most awe-inspiring safari areas. Because there are not many "real" roads here, the wildlife can live here completely undisturbed and therefore also excellent for safaris all year round. We stay again in the same tented camp.

Optionally, you can also consider taking a balloon ride today.

However, this must be booked in advance, at $600 per person.

For more details about how this all works, you can of course always contact us. In the course of the afternoon we return to our camp, where we already feel at home, for our usual dinner.

DAY 7 - After a few days in Serengeti, the Ngorongoro crater is still on our program.

We will of course also descend this ... in search of rhinoceroses.

In the meantime we turn towards Karatu where we spend the night in the Ngorongoro rainforest, and in the TLOMA LODGE be a guest. For those who want something more, or much more luxury, there are still the in the NCCA the RHINO LODGE  (SL)  and the loveley  ANG'ATA CAMPS (L).

DAY 8 – Today we will unfortunately have to slowly return to Arusha. Relax after the many impressions of the safari by the pool. It will be another   drive of 4 hours with possibly a few stops so around 10 am we leave the Ngorongoro area. Various, rather cultural excursions are still possible today. Visiting a Masai tribe is one of them. Feel free to request a list of possible excursions that we help to organize. This will be your last night on the mainland in Arusha. Still many choices of hotels such as the AFRICAN SAFARI, SL the MOUNT MERU HOTEL or L the ELEWANA COFFEE LODGE.

DAY 9  - Today the plane is ready to take you to Zanzibar. After a short flight of barely an hour you are already there. In addition to the guest house, we also arrange the transfer there and any additional excursions are part of the optional package.

A selection from the offer: lunch in a unique setting such as a rock restaurant, a sundowner boat trip, swimming among dolphins, or how about a quad safari over the beach and through various villages ...

DAY 10/11 – You can relax and enjoy 2 full days in your own SL  MAMAMMAPAMBO BOUTIQUE HOTEL-house or the MR NEW TEDDY'S ON THE BEACH. More luxury L this is JOYA BEACH RESORT EN VILLAS . With your own villa and private butler.

DAY 12 - All good songs come to an end and you are finally taken to the airport to return home.

Whatever awaits you at the other end of your journey will be of a different order of existence.”
