MID RANGE 8 DAYS TANZANIA
(NYERERE, MIKUMI and RUAHA)
If you are looking for isolation and an exclusive wildlife experience, this eight day safari is for you. 4X4 game drives, boat ride and game walk with an armed ranger are some of the activities.
DAY 1 - Today you will meet your guide in the economic capital of Dar es Salaam. Shortly after noon we drive from Dar to our first camp on the edge of Mikumi NP. We dine and stay overnight in the ATUPELE CAMP (deluxe room).
DAY 2 - Today is reserved for exploring 1 of Tanzania's hidden treasures: Mikumi National Park. Supplied with our picnic lunches, we spend a full day on safari in this vast, untouched wilderness area. We spend our evening in the same lodge again (handy).
DAY 3 - We leave Mikumi park to have to do a connecting ride all morning. In the evening we settle in our next hotel.
This in Ruaha, a stronghold for populations of high concentrations of lions and endangered wild dogs.
It's the HILTOP LODGE, where you can enjoy on a hill, watching birds or animals in the deeper savannas.
DAY 4 - Today 4x4 game drives in Ruaha with a landscape of baobabs, black hardwood trees and grassy plains, looking for the abundance of wildlife and birds that can be found here.
DAY 5 - Today one last time in diverse Ruaha for another half day safari. We leave the park to do a connecting ride for the rest of the day. Later in the afternoon we settle into our next hotel in Morogoro to have dinner and rest from our 1st safari impressions.
It's the NASHERA HOTEL.
DAY 6 - Today 4x4 game drives towards Nyerere (formerly Selous). After checking in, we do another evening game drive at sunset.
Dinner and overnight the next day is in the MLOKA SAFARI LODGE.
DAY 7 - After breakfast we head out into this more remote and Africa's largest unspoilt wilderness area, Njerere National Park. Literally because today we are also doing a game walk. We also do an extra boat trip in the evening.
Former Selous is another good example to show that we encounter far fewer people in the South than in most other famous Northern reserves.
In addition to its impressive predator populations, this national park is also a sanctuary for more than 10,000 elephants.
DAY 8 - Today one last breakfast in the bush, before driving back to Dar es Salaam (300km). You now have the option to add a beach holiday to Zanzibar to the safari for a small additional fee. Contact us for more information about this well-priced optional beach getaway.
