9 days safari Kenya

(SAMBURU, MERU, ABERDARE, NAKURU, NAIVASHA)

DAY 1 - Arrival at Nairobi airport.
The driver of the HILTON GARDEN INN will pick you up and come after a drive of barely 15 km
you will arrive at  the hotel. Tomorrow you will be introduced to your driver/guide with 4x4 vehicle.

DAY 2 - The Samburu game reserve today is the scene for only a half day game drive as it is a drive of almost 300km.
Get ready to admire picturesque savannas, native trees and endless valleys.
With a decidedly isolated beauty of the arid north, the Samburu National Reserve is dotted with classic big game, termite skyscrapers and a population of creatures not found in any other major Kenyan Park.
These include rarities such as the blue-spotted Somali ostrich, the Grevy's zebra, unicorn-like beisa oryx, net giraffes and the gerenuk, a gazelle with an exceptionally long neck.
ASHNIL SAMBURU is the camp where we will have dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 - Today it's time for a full day game drive. Samburu National Park is located on the Ewaso Ng'iro River.
Samburu was where George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the lioness and wrote the famous bestselling book and movie "Born Free".

In the evening we return to our lodge tired but satisfied.

DAY 4 - A 125km connecting ride that takes us to Meru.

More than 400 bird species have been observed at Meru, including the red-necked falcon.
Make sure to have your camera ready to capture extraordinary wildlife encounters against the backdrop of a majestic landscape. Recognized as having a greater diversity of animal species than any other park in East Africa. Majestic herds of elephants, wallowing hippos, golden lions, the elusive caracal, creeping reptiles, rare rhinoceroses…  IKWETA SAFARI CAMP is where our day will end.

DAY 5 - In Meru National Park you can also see special species such as the Grevy's zebra and the bohor reedbuck.
Or, on your (optional) walks, focus on the smaller details of the bush, from animal tracks to dung beetles, as well as the other elements that make up each fascinating micro-ecosystem.
During the golden hour you will return for dinner and a well-deserved rest in the same lodge where you were once guests.

DAY 6 - After a fairly long connecting drive (240km) we arrive in the Aberdare national park during the afternoon.
On safari in Aberdare you are likely to see black rhinoceros , many elephants , leopard , baboon , black and white Colobus monkey and Sykes monkey .
With a view of a pond of water, THE ARK is the stage for your overnight stay.

DAY 7 - After breakfast your adventure continues towards Lake Nakuru.
While exploring the park we will look for white rhinoceroses, leopards and tree-climbing lions.

This day we provide a late picnic lunch, this time on Baboon Cliff where there is a beautiful view over the lower Nakuru Lake.

The BILASHAKA LODGE will be your next guest house.
A small-scale and simple accommodation located directly behind a forest edge on the Naivasha
Also read our blog about this charming lodge.

DAY 8 - After breakfast we have planned a boat trip for you.
Halfway through this trip you will disembark at a private game concession, on a peninsula: Crescent Island. Go for a walk yourself among buffalo, hippos, wildebeest, zebra, eland, waterbuck and graceful giraffes.
We will spend the night again in the BILASHAKA LODGE.

DAY 9 - Unfortunately this will be the last day on Kenyan soil. It's going to Nairobi but not before we
offer a lunch at the KIAMBETHUFARM. In an oasis of green tranquility you can reminisce one last time because a dinner in Nairobi will also be arranged for you..

Of course we also take care of the last transfer for you, direction airport.
